Scalped Magazine Submission Guidelines

We are committed art, poetry and fiction publishers here at Scalped. We aim to publish both new writers as well as professionals. Despite your experience you should aim to send your best work to our magazine. Submission guidelines are not important until you polish your work. Please edit your work before you send it to us.

These are the guidelines for our writers, if you would like to submit art check out the theme below and then go to our artist guidelines and instructions.

Payment: At this time, we are unable to pay our artists and writers. We will, however, add your name to our artists and/or writers page with a link to any work you have had published in Scalped. We will also add your work to our archives page.

Rights: When you allow us to publish your work online we require three months of exclusive rights, and then non-exclusive rights to keep your work in our archives.

Theme and Deadline

All of our issues experiment with different themes in literature, occasionally we will have an open theme that you can submit to, but unless posted please only send us work that falls reasonably within the realm of our current theme below.

Theme for issue 4: torture.

The deadline for Issue 4: Spring 2010 is February 21st. The torture issue will go up on March 21st.

We look forward to reading your submissions, and we hope you look forward to reading the next issue of Scalped.
